Small Bathroom
When your bathroom is so small and it is impossible to put a shower in it, think again. Nothing is impossible when you know what to do. Small bathrooms are usually made in modern houses due to the space allotment and the budget that the designers are given. Also, pre-built houses have bathrooms that only have bathtub, washbasin, and toilet. So there is no room for a separate shower enclosure. The good thing is, there are now ways on how you can put your own shower in your small bathroom and enjoy bathing.
The first thing to do is to have enough space in your bathroom by putting smaller fixtures but at the same give the same satisfaction to you. The designers usually put fixtures based on the cost and not the space that the fixtures will eat. So better look for some smaller fixtures that can replace the original ones.
There are now toilets that are slimmer than the traditional ones. This will not only give a modern look in your bathroom but also will eat less wall space in your bathroom. When it comes to washbasins, you don’t really need big ones. Better look for smaller washbasins based on your needs. There are also many styles to choose from so you will not have to face the problem that you will not be able to choose the one that you like. The bathtub can also be replaced with a smaller one. Tub designs nowadays offer deeper tubs but smaller than the usual ones. So you can choose the deeper tubs so that it will only eat less space in your small bathroom. If you want to remove it, then go ahead. Just be sure that you really want to but it is advisable to keep the tub just in case you need some soothing hot bath to relax you.
Accessories like towel rails and cabinets can be hanged on the wall so that they will not have to eat any floor space. You can put the cabinets above the toilet or other fixtures but be sure that they are still accessible so that you will not have a hard time getting your bathroom stuff where you want them.
You can try to rearrange your whole small bathroom. You can rearrange the fixtures so that you can have more floor space in your bathroom. Try having some fixture cutouts and rearrange them in a squared paper (or the shape of your bathroom) before you actually move them so that you can save time and effort in case you made a mistake. At least with this, you can have an overlook on how your bathroom will look like.
If you have enough space for your shower, then it is time to buy one. If you made enough room for a rectangular or square-based shower enclosure, then go for those ones. Be sure that when you put it, your bathroom will not be jam-packed. You can also try a curved quadrant shower enclosure to fit your small bathroom and still have freedom to move inside. Curved quadrant shower enclosure can save up to 14% of your floor space.
